We reviewed 276 inpatients who admitted this ward of urology during the period from April 1, 1974 to March 31, 1977 for 3 years in reference to organ distribution of various diseases of genitourinary tract and operation procedure.
The results were as follow:
1. Of 276 inpatients, 221 were male, 55 were female with sex ratio of 4:1. The most frequent age, group were 3rd decade(19. 2% ), 7th decade (15.2%) and 5th decade(14. 5%) in order. About half of them(59.4%) discharged within 2 weeks.
The most common disease was B. P. H. (13.4%), ureteral stone(10. 9%) and renal tuber￢culosis(6.9%) in order.
The most frequent organ distribution of diseases was kidney(22. 8%), scrotal contents (15.6%) and prostate (15.2%) in order.
The most common pathological disease was tumor(26.4%), urolithiasis(17. 8%) and inj￢ury(17. 0%) in order.
2. Of 276. inpatients, operation was done in 179 cases(61. 2%).
The most common was prostatectomy(15.6%), nephrectomy(10.6%), hydrocelectomy (7.8%) by operation procedure and surgery of scrotal contents(22.9%), surgery of kidney (20.1%), surgery of bladder(16.7%) by organ distribution.
